In-App Purchases (IAP) - Orbitv

This page explains how in-app purchases (IAP) work in Orbitv, including advanced features such as Picture-in-Picture (PiP), background audio, themes and subscriptions. For full legal details, please also see our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
1. General information
- All purchases are processed through the app store where you downloaded Orbitv (for example, Google Play Store or Apple App Store).
- Orbitv does not process payments directly and does not store full payment-card details.
- Availability of products, prices, currencies, taxes and promotions may vary by country, app store and platform.
- In-app purchases currently apply only to Android and iOS / iPadOS mobile / tablet versions of the App; they are not available on Android TV / Fire TV.
2. Advanced features - behavior by platform
Some advanced features depend on the platform, operating-system version and type of TV streaming:
Picture-in-Picture (PiP)
- On Android, PiP for certain website-type TV streamings is offered as an advanced feature and may require an eligible in-app product (for example, Orbitv Pro) to be active. PiP is typically available with live video in full-screen mode and may not work on unofficial devices such as emulators, TV/IPTV set-top boxes or certain custom ROMs.
- On iOS / iPadOS, PiP for certain website-type TV streamings may be available by default for all users, depending on the OS version and player technology, but not necessarily when using Orbitv's own internal video player.
Background audio
- On Android, background audio for certain website-type TV streamings is offered as an advanced feature and may require an eligible in-app product (for example, Orbitv Pro). It is typically available with live video without full screen and is subject to OS restrictions and power-saving policies.
- On iOS / iPadOS, background audio for certain website-type TV streamings may be available by default for all users, depending on OS and player behavior, but not necessarily when using Orbitv's internal video player.
Extended player and mini-player
- Some extended-player options and mini-player behaviors may only be available within the App, on supported devices and TV streamings, and are generally associated with Orbitv Pro on mobile devices.
Actual behavior may vary depending on the technical implementation of each TV streaming, your device model and your operating-system version.
3. Products
3.1 Orbitv+ (one-time purchase)
- Type: non-consumable, one-time purchase with no expiration period.
- Platforms: Android and iOS / iPadOS mobile / tablet (not available on Android TV / Fire TV).
What you get with Orbitv+:
- Removal of advertising placements controlled by Orbitv inside the app, such as banners, interstitials and in-app video ads.
- Access to additional color themes (including orange and pink themes).
Important:
- Orbitv+ does not block or remove advertising shown on external websites or inside the original TV streaming itself.
- External websites or TV streamings you open from Orbitv may still display their own ads, pop-ups or tracking technologies that are not controlled by Orbitv.
- The product is linked to your app-store account and to the ecosystem (Android or iOS / iPadOS) where it was purchased. It cannot be transferred between app-store accounts or across different ecosystems.
3.2 Orbitv Pro (auto-renewing subscription)
- Type: auto-renewing subscription (consumable in app-store terminology).
- Periods: 1, 6 and 12 months (depending on availability in your app store and country).
- Platforms: Android and iOS / iPadOS mobile / tablet (not available on Android TV / Fire TV).
What you get with Orbitv Pro, on compatible devices and TV streamings:
- Removal of advertising placements controlled by Orbitv inside the app (same scope as Orbitv+).
- Access to additional color themes (including orange and pink).
- Background audio for supported TV streamings, subject to OS and player limitations.
- Picture-in-Picture (PiP) on supported devices and TV streamings.
- Extended audio / video mini-player within the app.
Free trial:
- Only the first subscription you purchase for 6- or 12-month periods may include a 7-day free trial, where offered by your app store.
- The 1-month subscription does not include a free trial.
- If you do not cancel before the end of the trial period (typically at least 24 hours before the end of the 7th day, or as specified by the app store), the subscription will automatically convert into a paid subscription and the applicable fee will be charged.
App stores may offer grace periods or other mechanisms to handle payment issues; these rules are determined by the app store and may differ by territory.
3.3 Legacy variants (such as Orbitv X)
In some cases, we may offer technical variants of Orbitv Pro (for example, "Orbitv X") for devices running older versions of Android, iOS or iPadOS. These variants:
- Are also auto-renewing subscriptions in periods of 1, 6 and 12 months,
- Are offered only on older OS versions, and
- Provide equivalent or similar benefits to Orbitv Pro, subject to technical limitations.
The exact naming and availability of these variants may change over time and by region.
4. Managing subscriptions and purchases
You can manage Orbitv in-app purchases directly through your:
- Google Play Store account (Android), or
- Apple App Store account (iOS / iPadOS).
From your app-store account, you can:
- View active and past subscriptions.
- Change or cancel auto-renewing subscriptions.
- Update payment methods.
- Check applicable billing dates and prices.
If you change devices but keep the same app-store account and ecosystem, you can usually restore products (for example, Orbitv+ or active Orbitv Pro) through the "Restore purchases" option within Orbitv.
5. Refunds and billing issues
Orbitv does not process payments directly and cannot unilaterally issue refunds. Any requests for refunds or corrections of billing errors must be handled in accordance with the refund policies of the app store where the purchase was made.
If you experience a problem, you can:
- Consult the help section and refund policy of the applicable app store.
- Contact the app store's support team.
- Contact us at support@orbitv.io, providing your purchase identifier, device, app-store email and a description of the issue. We may assist you by providing clarifications or additional information to the app store, but the final decision on refunds rests with the app store and applicable law.
